About
I'm Sarman, a founder and engineer from Canada, now based in San Francisco. I'm currently building Chasi, an AI company for the equipment industry, as part of Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch.
Before starting Chasi, I was a software engineer at Tesla, where I worked on systems at massive scale. I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
I believe in shipping fast, building with intention, and solving problems that matter. I write about engineering, startups, and the things I learn along the way.
